Billy’s skin felt cold as he held on to Victor, his face pressed against the crook of his shoulder. Victor looked at him for a long time before finally turning to Mephisto. The demon slouched on his throne, smug and smirking as he watched the young mutant. “A small price to pay for something you want to very badly.”

Victor felt Billy move, pressing against his back and moaning his name softly. His lips were icy as they pressed against the nape of his neck. If Victor had had hair, it would have been standing on end. “What did you do to him?”

“Does it matter, as long as you get what you want?”

Victor closed his eyes, shuddering as Billy’s hand slid down his chest. “Yes. It does.”
