“Have fun?” Teddy asked as Billy started the van. The look on the spell caster’s face said it all, really, but Teddy felt like he should ask.

“First stop, Westchester. Where I will leave a pile of drunken X-Men on the front lawn. Tastefully arranged, of course.” Billy gave Teddy a sidelong look. “I know you were drinking just as much as anyone else...”

“Non-human metabolism,” Teddy reminded his boyfriend. “Looks like I don’t get drunk easily.”

Billy smiled slightly. “It’s nice not to be the only sober one,” he murmured, pulling on to the highway.

“I’ll be designated driver next time,” Teddy offered.

Billy shook his head. “I appreciate the offer, but my powers and beer just seem like a really bad mix.”
