"Mankind," Billy said sourly as he smacked another mosquito, "has spent thousands of years getting away from nature. Therefore, I see no reason to undo my ancestor’s hard work and get back to it and get eaten alive."
"Poor baby," Teddy teased.
Billy threw himself down on the river bank and scowled. "I hope the rod breaks," he said. "And I want these damn mosquitoes to stop biting me."
The air was filled with the scent of frying insects.
"They only bite you because you’re delicious." Teddy smirked.
